We had the pleasure of photographing Diane and Denis before their wedding this year. We took them to the beautiful Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva where they are getting married September 18th, 2010. The resort is amazing, the light was awesome for the pictures… oh, and Diane and Denis make a pretty good couple too. CONGRATS!
Specialty Printing Services Dustin Lefebvre won awards for marketing these products. I like his PR shot.
We photographed Sarah and Matt’s wedding 2 years ago this is their newborn Mason. Its really an amazing privelage to be able to see a family grow before our eyes. Congrats Sarah and Matt, and welcome Mason
One of our vendors and friends, Diana, came in for pictures for her loved ones. Here’s a couple good ones – we think they came out great!

Cowboy: (according to the interweb)
Well… it’s kind of a combination of those… Either way they were great in the studio and they are amazing to listen to. Here’s one of my favorites
Check them out at their facebook page Suburban Cowboys, and check them out live at their next gig – April 24th at Austin’s Saloon in Libertyville.
Thanks guys!

This is the culmination, the final step in more than 25 years of education for many students. A lot of kids say they want to be doctors when they grow up – well, that’s the path that Rosalind Franklin University helps their students follow. Match day is the event where the students find out exactly where they will be doing their residency or as we know – the final step in obtaining the career they’ve work SO hard for. They are handed an ominous white envelope from a few instructors standing on nothing more than a box with a group of excited, nervous, ravenous students surrounding them. So, you can expect that most of the students that are finding out where they will spend the next and last 4 years of their education… were a little bit excited. Forget the Oscars this is more exciting. It was an amazing thing to be a witness to and part of – good luck all!

In another after school class that I photographed at Robert Morris College in Waukegan, a boy studies his classmates’ paintings. The instructor at RMC had an American flag up in front and had about 30 kids paint a still life of that flag with very little instruction. It was really interesting to see the different outcomes and interpretations the kids had of how the flag looks on canvas – and equally interesting to see all those paintings set against the wall next to each other.
Here’s March’s free desktop picture. I took this photograph the other day at College of Lake County’s greenhouse. I was there photographing a workshop for 8th-graders, and it was really cool to see them having some fun learning about plants and in turn planting their own! The greenhouse was really pretty – the lighting was beautiful and was finally warm out. Hopefully this is symbolic of things to come!
